For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in fashion, magazines and video editing. I’m the resident fashion expert of my household, I’ve honed my magazine design skills from my early days as an avid collage fan, and I was in charge of editing the annual family year-wrap video. On top of that, I began casually blogging at 17 as I’ve always found I express myself more eloquently on paper. At 22, I’m exploring how these passions and skills might manifest into more than a pat on the back from mum. As a pisces, creativity is literally written in my stars. Unrelated, I’m learning not to take life so seriously.
Something else I bring to the table is a very unique perspective. I was born in England by way of my Swedish mother and Nigerian father, and lived in Australia from age 5-18 until I spread my metaphorical wings and moved to Sweden where I sought my tertiary education for a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Web Development.
When it comes to things I’m passionate about, I could surely talk all day! Outside of fashion, I’m not ashamed to admit that I keep up-to-date with pop culture and the trending page (I’m an excellent team mate to have at a quiz night), I love to sing though you’d have to ask my neighbours if I’m any good, Spotify is definitely worth every penny and then some, I’m constantly striving to improve and learn, I believe in staying informed and understand that world extends beyond my front door, and I am ashamed to admit that I love Cars 2. Most importantly, I know every lyric, dance move, line and stage directions to arguably the best trilogy ever made, High School Musical.
I work hard and I'm unafraid of pushing myself to exhaust my greatest capabilities. I'm someone who enjoys taking on multiple responsibilities in order to keep myself busy and I love organisation. One huge goal is that I’d be able to return this energy to myself as therapy has taught me that I often stand in my own way thanks to my debilitating insecurities.
If I could click my heels together three times to make a wish, I would be working for a respected and utterly fabulous magazine—in a bustling city—working in a position similar to the likes of Anna Wintour or Edward Enninful. One quote that consistently journey's through my mind is "If Your Dreams Don’t Scare You, They Aren’t Big Enough".
